Summer
Camp
The Summer Camp at Kyoto International School (KIS) is a vibrant day program held during the summer break, welcoming both current KIS students and non-KIS participants. Each year, the camp features dynamic, hands-on activities centered around an engaging theme, ensuring a memorable and enriching experience.
Students engage in a variety of projects, crafts, physical activities, and outdoor adventures. For older participants, the program includes day trips to local attractions, enhancing their exploration of the annual theme while adding depth to their learning journey.
As an IB World School, our curriculum is built around the frameworks of the Primary Years Programmeme (PYP), Middle Years Programmeme (MYP), and Diploma Programmeme (DP).
We inspire and guide our students to be curious inquirers and critical thinkers, always striving to explore new questions. We encourage them to embrace challenges, take risks, and view setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow.
Our students learn to be compassionate and open-minded, preparing them to become global citizens who contribute positively to the world. Together with our students, we continuously reflect on how we can improve and strive for excellence in all that we do.
